International Children's Cancer Day
Mexico City, February 15, 2020.
Today is a special day for all of us who are part of The House of Friendship. We want to raise our voices for the 11,596 families who in these nearly 30 years have come with us on a path full of learning and challenges. Raise your palms, for 4 thousand hundred people who have finally managed to remove the cancer cells from your body and are already under Bravo surveillance! Stand up for the 1,365 children and young people who are currently in active treatment and who, thanks to the help of many donors, have comprehensive support and hope.
You are the CDLA family and it is for you that this cause still stands and with a clear goal: to change the history of childhood cancer in Mexico.
In our country, childhood cancer is the leading cause of death from disease in girls and boys between the age of 5 and 14. More than 5,000 new cases are detected each year and only half of them manage to survive.
We take advantage of this International Children's Cancer Day to invite the population to:
- Share the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer with all his acquaintances, family and friends.
- Join cash donation campaigns, Time species.
- Follow our social media, share content of interest and be aware of the actions that we can jointly take.
Childhood cancer is curable if it is detected early and it is vital to generate the right conditions for this to happen. Together we can do it! #YoSoyCDLA #VamosPor30años
